About

I am a Learning Scientist with eleven years of experience working on training-related projects, such as uncovering learners’ needs, designing training solutions, conducting human science experiments, and analysing data to inform training effectiveness.

I am trained in Learning Science, User Experience Research, Data Science, and Human Factors Engineering. Over the years, my expertise is employed to understand users’ needs, improve work processes, and deliver solutions for the Singapore Armed Forces and educators’ Professional Learning Communities. My training-related projects range from lower-level research (identify and evaluate novel learning technologies to achieve training optimisation) to actual operational training (develop training plans and materials, as well as conduct training for both trainees and trainers).

I work with multi-disciplinary teams and diverse clients, and facilitate collaboration to develop user-centered solutions. My work experience has given me the confidence in having seamless communication with my team members and clients from various fields.

I am constantly exploring ways to better understand the needs of the people, and how to optimise training remotely, especially since the Covid-19 situation. During my personal pursuits, I am actively looking for tools that are feasible for synchronous and asynchronous learning technologies and techniques to understand learner experiences through learning analytics.
